The Pam Thorburn Award for a disabled woman in post-graduate study

Offered for the first time in 2022, Pam Thorburn is sponsoring a Specific Purpose Award for a disabled woman in the Wellington region who is studying at post-graduate level.

$3000 


Award criteria

The award is for a disabled woman, who:

• Is studying at a postgraduate level (Masters or PHD level)

• Enrolled at a Wellington Regional Tertiary provider (Wellington region)

• Is either in fulltime or part-time study


When applying for this award, applicants will be asked to include a brief statement on how their disability has impacted upon them and their ability to achieve the goals they are aspiring to achieve.

The award is a one-off grant of $3000 to help with study and/or living expenses during study. The money may be used for tuition costs in pursuit of an approved course of study, experiential development, transport costs, costs associated with disabilities, childcare or other study-related expenses. It may be used in combination with funding from other sources.
